Irish Rogue Commander presents Beyond the Meta
Ireland's rogue-meta Commander league, built to reward strong play beyond the usual suspects. Arrange games on your schedule, play online or in person, and earn your place in the elimination cut.
Brainstorm registration note: You must submit a commander and may be asked for a decklist, but neither locks you in during the regular season. Top Cut qualifiers will submit a final commander and decklist, which are locked for the semifinals and final.
Registration and payment
Register on Brainstorm first. Then enter your public Brainstorm name. Once that name is verified as registered for this league, the payment link will be shown.
2026 schedule
The regular season runs for exactly eight weeks, followed by one week for semifinals and one week for the final.

Arrange and report eligible games throughout the eight-week regular season.
26 November–2 December 2026

3–9 December 2026
The remaining four players compete for the league title.
How it works
No weekly rounds. Brainstorm requires a commander during registration, but players may change decks and commanders throughout the regular season. Top Cut qualifiers lock in a final commander and decklist for the semifinals and final.
Register on Brainstorm, then verify your public Brainstorm name before the payment link is released.
Go to registration verification →Declare the match before starting. Three- and four-player pods may play in person, by webcam, or digitally.
Brainstorm records results, tracks the Japanese rating system, and determines who qualifies for the elimination stage.
League prizes
Every finalist receives custom sleeves using their own submitted design or the exclusive Beyond the Meta Top 4 design, plus one of the four Top 4 premium cards. A foil Dominaria Remastered Mystic Remora will be awarded separately to one randomly selected participant.
The advertised prize package is guaranteed with 24 or more registered players. With fewer than 24 registrations, prize support may be adjusted based on attendance.

The defining restriction
The league’s commander ban list clears space for competitive decks outside the established top tier.
Each defeated player loses 7% of their pre-game rating. The winner gains the combined losses.
